Junior Firefighter Rachel Schilke Honored

Junior Firefighter Rachel Schilke, daughter of Captain Dan Schilke and Department Photographer Rebecca Schilke, was recently honored with a 2012 Scholar Leader Award. According to the Westerly Sun (5/28/12) the award is given "to students who have distinguished themselves in terms of outstanding scholarship and leadership ... while providing service to classmates with a positive attitude." Rachel is student at Westerly Middle School and has been an active member of the Dunn's Corners Fire Department since October, 2011.
