DCFD Ice Rescue Training

Yesterday evening Rescue Products International, Inc. instructor Sean Barry came to DCFD to train members on ice rescue operations. During the training we completed a hands-on refresher on our Marsars Water Rescue Systems ice rescue sleds. Thursday night wisdom! Slow down and move over it’s the law. When you see Emergency vehicles, Tow trucks, ect. on the side of the road slow down and move over. Hazmat Training and Weekend Calls

DCFD trained Wednesday night with Hope Valley - Wyoming Fire District learning about their equipment for Hazmat incidents. Over the weekend DCFD was able to do a walk thru of a building that is currently under construction and learn about different building construction. DCFD Drivers Training

DCFD took advantage of the past two days to complete some drivers training. Members went out on Tower 5 Thursday and worked on Truck Tactics. Members went out again on Friday to work on Engine Company Tactics. These include pumping, drafting, district knowledge, apparatus placement, ladder operations and scene size ups. DCFD responds to structure fire

This afternoon DCFD responded for a reported Structure Fire. The fire was contained to the exterior of the house. Thank you to our mutual aid Cross' Mills Fire Department, our EMS stand by Charlestown Ambulance Rescue Service and Charlestown Police Department.
