DCFD Responds Mutual Aid to a Brush Fire

DCFD members responded mutual aid to Ashaway to a brush fire in the woods off of North Road. North Stonington, Exeter, Hope Valley, Carolina, Westerly and Misquamicut were also part of the mutual aid response. Thanks to a DEM Forestry Equipment Grant, the crew on Brush 7 was fully outfitted with personal protective equipment, chainsaws, medical supplies and other tools to aid in extinguishing the brush fire.
Special thanks to an additional DCFD crew that stayed in district for coverage and responded to a chimney fire at the same time.
