Yesterday at approximately 1300hrs DCFD responded to a reported electrical fire. Upon arrival units found an odor of electrical burning and secured the power to the residence. The issue was narrowed down to a surge protector. Units ventilated and metered the house prior to clearing the scene. Car 1, Engine 4, Engine 5 and Tower 5 handled the run and the Westerly Police Department also responded. Members also stood by at the station for other calls of service in the district.
