This morning just after 1AM DCFD responded to its first due for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival there was a smoke condition in the house, the smoke was caused by an appliance in the basement. Members ventilated the house and metered it for CO levels, once it was deemed safe the homeowner was let back in. Tanker 1, Engine 5 and Car 1 responded.
