We were hoping that we wouldn’t have to make one of these posts this year, but obviously we do. As of March 15th we are in a burn ban, that means you cannot burn unless you call us and get a burn permit (which would only be granted if it’s actively raining). Neighboring departments have responded to multiple brush fires over the past couple of days, some of which have threatened houses and other property. So if you’re thinking of burning, don’t.
