At appproximately 16:00 hours this afternoon Charlestown Rescue was summoned to a mountain bike accident in the woods in the vicinity of the entrance to Burlingame North Camp, off of Buckeye Brook Road. Dunn's Corners Fire was also toned out to assist CARS in removing the patient from the trail to the ambulance.

Cars 8, 10, 12, and 14 proceeded to the scene off Buckeye Brook Road, and upon receiving a patient update from CARS, Car 1 and E6, which was on the way, were diverted to a gravel lot behind C&S Excavating at the intersection of Rt 216 and Klondike Rd to set up a landing zone for LifeStar, which had been called in due to the nature of the injuries.

DCFD officers assisted with extricating the patient from the wooded area to awaiting CARS Ambulance 692. At that time, the patient, a twenty-something female, was transported to the awaiting LifeStar helicopter, and was transported to the RI Hospital Trauma Center.

All DCFD units were cleared upon LifeStar take-off at approximately 16:40.
