On December 27th, the Dunn’s Corners Fire Department responded to a possible chimney fire reported by the homeowners. Upon arrival, firefighters found a smoldering fire in the wooden mantle of the fireplace. Firefighters extinguished the fire and overhauled the mantle to ensure it was out. Quick actions by the homeowners and firefighters prevented further damage and extension into the home.
