The Dunn's Corners Fire Department was dispatched for a reported rollover in the area of Wal-Mart early Tuesday morning. Car 1 arrived and confirmed a single car rollover, resting on the drivers side with the sole occupant still in the vehicle. Car 1 updated with incoming instructions for Engine 4 as well as update inbound EMS that the occupant was alert and oriented with no major traumas. Engine 4's crew arrived and went to work stabilizing the vehicle while another crew gained patient access via the sunroof. An EMT from Westerly Ambulance was placed in the vehicle for patient care as crews worked on a patient removal plan. Due to the patients position in the vehicle, it was decided that removing the windshield and removing the patient on a backboard was the best option. Patient care was handed off to Westerly Ambulance once extricated. A minor fluid spill was contained and the crews packed up within 30 minutes.
