Re-Entry Plan Passes

This announcement is to clarify part of the information enclosed with Dunn’s Corners Fire District tax mailings.

The Town of Westerly is implementing a Re-Entry Plan in association with the local fire districts. Within the Dunn’s Corners Fire District this applies to the residents and businesses:

• South of Shore Road

• South of Route 1 (Post Road) from the intersection with Shore Road east to the Westerly Town line

• All of the Shelter Harbor Fire District.

The purpose of the Re-Entry Plan is to facilitate residents and business owners returning to their homes and businesses after a major disaster such as a hurricane, when deemed safe to do so by local authorities and while maintaining security within the affected areas.

The Dunn’s Corners Fire District is currently compiling a mailing list for the above-mentioned areas so we can mail out passes to you within the near future. The mailing will include instruction on how to fill out the passes and how they will work. Due to the size of our district and the area we cover some residents will not be affected by this plan, so will not receive this mailing.
