| On Wednesday October 7th, members of the Dunn's Corners FD took Engine 6 to the Dunn's Corners Early Learning Center to discuss fire prevention with the preschool children. On Friday October 16th, Chief Frink, Lt. Johnson, Lt. Aldrich, FF Beach, FF Senita, and FF Vincent took Tower 5 to the Dunn's Corners Elementary School to discuss fire prevention with the kindergarten and first grade students. The students were informed on what to do if they are at home and the smoke alarms are sounding and what to do if their clothes are on fire. We also showed the students the various parts of our structural turnout gear as well as an SCBA pack. They were then given an opportunity to see the gear up-close. We concluded our trip to the schools with a tour of the apparatus for the kids and each of them was given the chance to sit in the back cab of the truck. |
