On Saturday afternoon November 10th, the Dunn's Corners Fire Department and the Westerly Police Department hosted a food collection event at the Walmart in Westerly. Shoppers were invited to donate holiday foods to fill a cruiser and a firetruck. All of the food that was collected is being donated to the Jonnycake Center, who in-turn will distribute the items to families in need for the holidays. Thank you to all who generously donated and helped make the event a success.
